The ER

When we got home from Trick or Treating, Joe told us that Bekah had fallen and hurt her hand. She kept crying and crying so we finally decided we had better take her down to the ER to have it X-rayed. The doctors and nurses were dressed up in costumes. Her doctor was a guy from KISS (is that right?). He looked kind of freaky and I wondered if he scared all the kids that he treated that night. Maybe not the best costume. Anyway, Bekah looked okay. They gave her some medicine for the pain (she wasn't happy with them anytime they touched her) and asked us to watch for her favoring her hand because they would then need to re-x-ray it. She was okay, but then the last two days she has been screaming and screaming so yesterday I took her back to the doctor. Her hand was fine, but she had a severe ear infection! The doctor said on a scale of 1-10, it was nearly a 10. She is on meds and feeling quite better. Good thing I took her in. :)

Joe, Bekah and I got home around 10:30. Everyone else went to bed and Joe and I went and worked unloading the moving van at the new house until 1:30am. Boy, I was tired! I was really hoping for a good night's sleep, but of course Bekah was up most of the night in pain. Oh, well. Such is life!

I swear, Joe made me snap these pictures in the x-ray room! I think the tech was a little surprised, hehe
They had to lay her arm flat and she HATED it. Joe is trying to comfort her

The look on the x-ray tech's face is so funny! She seems so surprised! Hehe. And I like those before the medicine and after of Bekah. Medicine is such a wonderful thing, isn't it!
