...that the Boyer family won't climb! Our weather around here has sort of had ADD lately. It can't seem to decide if it is spring, winter, or summer. This weekend was finally nice. We took advantage of a warm and sunny Saturday to get out into the good old outdoors. We took the kids on a nice hike that ended at a waterfall. It was really very fun. For those of you who have been in the great outdoors with Boyer children, I'm sure you can imagine some of the whining about being tired and the fear of bugs we had. All in all, though, the kids did very well. Caleb was in LOVE with throwing rocks in the water. We had to (literally) drag him away. It was so beautiful, and I am very grateful to live so close to such gorgeous scenes.
Ready to hike!
We're going WHERE?
How did little Joey end up with this many kids?!?
We'll cross that bridge when we come to it...
The waterfall was so beautiful. The kids were able to play in the water and I was able to enjoy the atmosphere
Hannah (8) and Lizzie (6) enjoy the falls
Hannah (8) took a shower under the icy cold water of the falls
Me and my four little angels
Emma (4) pretty much hated the whole thing. Here she is complaining to her dad...click on the picture to get a good look at her face. That is basically how she looked the entire time
Stopping for a drink and a rest on the way back down the mountain
Bekah (7 months) managed to get a sunburn on her sweet cheeks despite sunblock and a hat...
Everyone enjoys throwing rocks into the water
Lizzie (6) the monkey
Hiking down through beautiful scenery
Joe teaches the kids something about nature...or was it fireworks?
Here I am carrying Caleb down the mountain
Caleb (2) tries to run away and live as a mountain man
In his attempt to escape, Caleb (2) fell and hurt his leg
Be prepared...we followed the scout motto and Caleb(2) got all fixed up back at the car. P.S. If you can see his shirt it says, "I look like Mom. I act like Dad." So, so, so true for this little guy! :)
