Since we were at Temple Square, we grabbed a chance to get some pics of our little fam by the temple
It was Lizzie's night to teach the lesson for Family Home Evening. She has been begging me to take them to the Pioneer Village (um...Heritage Village, I think it is actually called). I didn't really want to take them on my own because I would have to carry Bekah and stuff during the wagon rides. I decided that taking them for FHE would be a good compromise. That way Joe would be able to help me. I told Liz that we could do it when it was her night to do the lesson.
Well, when I looked it up online, I found out that it closes at 5pm every day! Crazy, I think, at least for summer! Anyway, we compromised by taking that trip to the Beehive House we were going to do last week instead. We had a crazy, fun ride on the trax (boy, they don't give you much time getting on and off! Bekah and I nearly crashed to our deaths) and really enjoyed ourselves. Since we were getting on the trax right near Derek's work, we invited them to come along for their own FHE. We sure love getting out and doing things together as a family!
Watching for the train! Since the kids kept trying to get as close as possible to the yellow line without going over, we gave them the age-old lesson about trying to stay as far away as possible from that line, as we would for sin. After that they called walking on the other side "sin" and would point out to me any time someone would walk in "sin." Oops, hehe...
