Why you should NEVER let Dad get the kids ready for school!

This morning, Joe was a sweetie and let me stay in bed while he got the kids ready and took them to school. Hannah was sick so it was just Lizzie and Ammon. I remember laying in bed and drowsily thinking..."I hope Joe remembers to do Lizzie's hair." Well, when I went to pick the kids up a few minutes ago, her hair looked cute as can be. Too bad she wasn't wearing any PANTS!!!!!

I am not stinking kidding on this! She was wearing tights and a shirt. Apparently they were all tired this morning and she was wearing a long coat and no one noticed she had forgotten to put a skirt on as well. Gulp. She just kept her coat on all day and supposedly no one knew (except a few of her friends that she let in on her little secret). She told me she was too embarassed to call me and ask for pants. More embarassed than going around all day with no pants on???

So, when you have that childhood dream that you get to school and realize you forgot to put your pants on...you can ask Lizzie how it felt in real life!

P.S. I did get her permission to post this information. She seems to think it is all very funny...

OH MY WORD! LOL! How is that even possible? I. . .I am just flabbergasted! Poor, poor girl! How embarrassing! Good story for later though. After she's lived it down. :) But I think it will be impossible not to tease Joe about this for years and years to come. Muwahahaha!

CLASSIC! This is one of those Elder Wirthlin moments that you just have to laugh about!
I probably would have been like Lizzie - I'd just go around in misery instead of telling someone who could help.
I can also understand the coat problem. Karl is so good at getting himself ready in the morning, but the other day he came home wearing one of Joshua's shirts. It showed his belly and back and only came half way down his arms. I hadn't noticed that morning because he was wearing his coat all morning. When I asked him why he'd worn it, he said "But you put it in my laundry pile!"
Men!!!!!!!

Joe says he didn't know it was his job to verify that the child was wearing pants to school...I tell you what, it takes a village to raise a child anymore. ;)
