I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We have so many things to be grateful for in our lives and we love this day to celebrate them. Because we are living away from family, we had the awesome chance to have the Nortons over for a "friends" Thanksgiving dinner. We had turkey, ham, candied yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, jello, cranberry sauce, broccoli, and lots of pumpkin pie. It was delicious! I think we all now have "the chubs."
Our pretty Emma (4)
Ammon (11) and Lizzie (7) prepare the ingredients for our pumpkin pie
Caleb carefully watches how Lizzie cracks the egg (he wasn't quite so gentle himself on his egg-cracking turn!)
Joe and the kids work on the pie filling
I can't believe I am even p0sting this picture. I should be burning it since, as Joe so kindly put it, I look like a troll in the shot. I have issues with getting very, very floury when I roll out pie crust dough. I'm not sure what the deal is. The problem on my face is that I start to itch so I scratch and then I get flour on my face, which makes me itch some more and then...well, you get the picture. Anyway, I hope you still like me, troll face and all.
Joe took the pies out of the oven so I wouldn't drop them like last time *blush*
Rachel made homemade whipped cream...mmmmm
Joe and Derek talk while we try to get all the last minute things put together
The kids were VERY excited to start eating
Rachel was a quicker mom than I. Bekah wasn't happy that Helaman was already chowing down so she decided to just steal some from his plate.
Derek was playing with Bekah and making her laugh. I didn't catch it very well, though. :)
Hannah (8) and Sarah (5) having "girl talk" on the window box seat in the girl's room
Caleb (2) was sooooo excited for Teancum (3) to come over. He kept saying "Teancum. Likes. Me." "Teancum. play. ahhside. with me." (he pauses between words for some reason) Here they are sliding down the stairs.

Hehe, those are GREAT pictures. I especially loved the one of you playing the part of "Flour Troll." How in the world? It's like you were in one of those flour fights people have with their roommates! Where you and Joe flinging flour? I mean, come on! Or maybe you were playing that flour game where you have to find the penny in a cup of flour using only your mouth. Hehe. I wonder if there's a way I can download that one and use it as my wallpaper for my computer. Tee hee. I'm so eeeeeeeeeeevil!
Rachel, I would have to kill you if you ever did ANYTHING with that picture!!! It is terrible.
I am honestly not sure why I get so messy with flour. It happens every single time I bake pies, though. Joe just couldn't stand it and grabbed the camera to take a picture of it. It's a little embarrasing!
The "Flour Troll" was my favorite picture, too!!! :-) Just fun!!! :-) (And I can't believe I've gotten so behind-the-times on your blog... will have to dedicate some time to catching up soon! :-)
