Girls Day Out!

Hallelujah, Hooray, and Huzzah (that one is for you Derek!). It has been a long time since I had a time away with just girls. In fact, I would guess the last time was in the summer in Boise. This past Saturday, though, Rachel and I went out! We left all the kiddos with Joe and Derek. They did great, as always. We took Sarah with us first and went to get twinner/triplet haircuts, lol. We took just one picture and told all of our hairdressers that we wanted the same thing. Funny this is...none of them really look exactly alike. I think that Sarah's was probably the cutest 'do. She was so adorable.

After we got our hair done, we took Sarah back with the rest of the kids (and dads) and Rachel and I went to see Twilight. I actually really liked it. There were a few parts that were so cheesy and goofy that I had to laugh, but I generally really enjoyed the show. We sat right behind these silly kids. They were right in that 13ish age. They would giggle and giggle every time something remotely romantic happened. Then Rachel and I would look at each other and laugh too. Boy, at one part Edward (the vampire, for those of you non-Twilight readers) showed part of his chest and the girls must have giggled for like ten minutes straight! Ah, to be 13 again (remember when we were about that age, Heidi, and went to see The Little Mermaid? Good times, good times. :))

All in all, it was just so nice to get away, just the girls. Joe is the best and always totally willing to let me leave. He is such a great husband . In my excitement to get away from the kids, I also left the camera. Sorry. :) If you want to see my cute new haircut, I guess you'll just have to come visit me... (hint, hint)

Derek brought over all of his fencing equipment. Joe had the presence of mind to try to take some pictures of Lizzie all suited up, but then the batteries in the camera died. This is the only shot we have. I wish I had been there to see it...
