Something a little more pleasant...

Okay, after that HORRIFYING post about my mouse attack, I figure I'd better post something more cheerful. Don't want to give anyone nightmares...

Last week, we had snow and had to cancel our trip to the pumpkin patch. This week it was sunny and near 80, so we decided to take advantage of the weather and tackle our postponed adventure. It was so awesome! The kids had a great time. We have visited four or five different pumpkin patches over the years, but this one has to be our favorite yet (and this post may win for the largest number of pictures ever)!

The Nortons came with us. All the kids are excited to go!

Well, all the kids were excited to go until Emma noticed the flies.

Lizzie (7) and Sarah (5)

Caleb (2) doesn't want to miss anything!
Lizzie (7) and Hannah (8)
Here we are in line for the Trick or Treat hayride!
Joe and Derek laugh about something while Helaman (1) looks on
On the wagon. It was a fun hayride. As you ride, people in costumes throw tons of candy into the wagon. The kids LOVED it!
Ammon (11)
Lizzie pretends to be like mom with her camera
Once Caleb (2) got ahold of some candy, he didn't care about the ride anymore
That was awesome! As soon as we got off, Caleb turned to me and said, "Wet's do 'gain"
Next stop...the train ride. With the exception of that one man in the middle, we took up all the "cars" in the train
Joe is the best dad. He squeezed his 6'3 frame into that tiny car for Caleb
Lizzie and Sarah lead off
Ammon didn't really want to ride on the "baby" train, but was willing to help Emma out. What a guy!
Joe and Caleb careening down the slide!
Ammon laughs with Teancum at the bottom. Teancum was a MANIAC! He kept losing his balance and sort of rolling down half of the slide, lol. Rachel said it's because his head is too big, hehe.
Hannah (8) is down and ready to go again
Joe insisted on taking Bekah (11 months) down. I wasn't thrilled at all. I didn't see any reason to take my baby down that long, fast slide. I guess it is good that our kids have dad to keep them from being babied by mom too much, :)
Emma (4) didn't go down at all...not even with Papa. You can see her on the edge of the picture here hanging with Bekars and Helaman as we watch.
There were lots of animals to feed or pet. Hannah laughs as Ammon feeds the goats.
Lizzie feeding
Caleb wasn't sure about feeding them, but he was so cute after he finished. He couldn't stop talking about it. :)
The mini-maze was tougher than it looked. You were only allowed to turn left...no right turns.
Lizzie found some sort of gourd lying around
Ammon and Lizzie try to figure out how to make a lasso
Hannah did it!
Lizzie caught that pesky steer
I think Ammon caught himself
Now Joe...he didn't catch ANYTHING (of course, neither did I)
Caleb LOVED the corn box. I'm not sure how much everyone else loved him throwing all the corn, though...
Hannah and Lizzie enjoying the corn box
They had this funny, blow-up haunted house. It took you through twists and turns, nothing too scary for kids. The kids had fun running through it again and again...
Joe forced Caleb to go into the haunted house. Let's just say he didn't enjoy it. :)
I hope they expand the "stick your face in a picture of an animal so your mother can take embarrassing pictures of you thingy" so Bekah can be in it next year!

We skipped the corn maze. Maybe some other year. By the time we finished all these activities, I think our fun meter had peaked! We went home for some food and naps!

That was so fun! The kids loved it, but we sure were tired after all that excitement. Thanks for inviting us. And I'll have to send you any good pictures I have.
