This week I shopped for the three C's...Costumes, Coats, and Christmas dresses. :) Always a spendy buy (thank goodness for bonuses at work), but I tried to be as thrifty as possible. I happened upon the Christmas dresses at Costco one night with Joe. They were so cute and, although not 100% necessary, I just couldn't resist. This may be one of the last years the girls allow me to dress them all alike, so I just did it. I replenished my winter accessories at the used baby store. They had the most adorable designer winter hats and gloves for only a buck! Needless to say, I bought all the cute stuff they had. I think I got six hats and four pairs of gloves. I figure I can never have too many.
Last weekend was cold and snowy. It had been so warm that I hadn't even given winter gear a second thought. I felt so guilty when Monday rolled around with the high near 40 and my kids didn't have coats that fit. Since the kids were out of school this past week, I took all SIX of them with me to Walmart. Gulp. I don't think I've taken all six like that since, well, since....ever! It was craziness and I happened to have my camera in my purse, so I decided to snap a few shots of our day. Honestly, I'm not sure I ever want to do it again, lol. The kids were really very well behaved, but the masses of us walking through the store was a little much. We were getting a lot of stares and attention (in UTAH! hello..) and I was grateful when we made it to the end.
Ready to go. Notice Ammon, cool guy, in shorts and a t-shirt when it is about 45 degrees outside...
Sometimes when I really need to go shopping, but Bekah wants to eat, I just make her a bed in the cart and let her enjoy her bottle.
Hannah and Ammon displaying their need for new coats (Hannah was wearing Ammon's old one and Ammon didn't have anything)
I know, I know. A shot of the bathroom? I just had to document this "every time we go to Walmart" occurance. As soon as I get going and the shopping cart starts getting full, Emma announces she has to use the restroom. I mean, every stinking time. What is the deal? And of course, she will dance around in agony until you just break down and take her. So, here the girls are, washing their hands after using Walmart's bathroom.
Oh, yes. We also bought some shoes for Caleb. On Sunday there was snow on the ground and I realized that Caleb has just been wearing his sandals every day (church or not). Oops. Poor guy had to go through the snow in his sandals. So...new shoes! Emma and Caleb love to get up on the seat thing in the shoe section and jump off of it. It gets a little noisy and crazy...
Ammon takes control and pushes the cart
Picking Halloween stuff. Hannah and Lizzie are both going as witches (it's a big first for Hannah...the first time she hasn't been some sort of princess), Ammon and Caleb are both being skeletons, and Bekah and Emma are both princesses! Funny
Ammon was sure he needed some sort of weapon as a skeleton. Boys...
Bekah shows off her new coat
Picking out candy at the check-out line. I am not above bribery for good behavior.
Next time I take all the kids to the store, I'd love to have any of YOU with me to help! :)

Wow! Insanity! I hate having to take all my kids too. I'm always afraid I'm missing some and looking around and counting to make sure they're all with me. Too nerve racking.
