Preschool Scholars

We are now in our second week of school and it is, oh, so quiet around here. I am LOVING it! I'm not sure exactly why it seems sooooo much quieter than last year. Perhaps because Caleb and Bekah are now brave enough to play in the basement and outside. It is seriously amazing. Then the big kids all come in and the chaos resumes. It's probably a good thing they come home because I don't want to get tooooo comfortable with the quiet. :)

Caleb and Bekah have been "homeschooling" preschool this year. They absolutely adore it. They beg me every day for preschool but I only commit to two days per week, hehe. Caleb already knows all his capital and lower case letters/letter sounds and all his numbers, colors, shapes, etc. I don't think he is in dire need of academic stuff and Bekah doesn't go to kindy for three years still so I feel justified in only doing it twice a week. :) Caleb DOES need a lot of work practicing writing. I'm afraid that he may end up having some of the writing issues that Ammon has. I hope not. Anyway, it is super fun and they are great kids to do preschool with. I can't believe that in three short years, I won't have any kids home!! Or that next year when Caleb goes to kindergarten that I will only have Bekars. I'm starting to worry that having only ONE child at home may become quite harder than having a few. Hmmmmm....I'll have to figure that out next year. :)

Here are Cabers and Bekah working diligently on their "homework." They are stinkin' adorable. Oh, also. Do you notice that one is a righty and one is a lefty? We have three lefties in our family...Joe, Emma, and Bekars.

We also make time for fun. This picture makes me laugh because it is just so...Bekah. She insisted on trying to ride Emma's bike instead of her big wheel. Big wheels are obviously for babies or something. She couldn't push the pedals around the whole way on this bike, so she finally gave up and went back to her own bike.
