We recently spent a little quality time with the snow. :) In order to make sure it was a real party, the Nortons came along. Before we left, I warned them that within about ten minutes, I would probably have three kids crying. I even named them...Hannah, Emma, and Caleb. Well, I pretty much called it 100%! Do I know my kids or what? The three of them each made a few trips down the hill and decided to call it a day, lol. They then waited in the warm car while we continued playing. Ammon, Lizzie, and Bekah LOVED it! They had such a great time. Poor little Bekars ended up with freezing fingers, but all in all it was a great day.
Joe mocked me mercilessly for taking this picture, and I'm sure he will mock me even more for posting it. It was so beautiful, I just couldn't resist. :)
I had to include this picture because it is the only one of Emma and Hannah outside of the car, haha
There was a gameboy in the car so they were quite content. It was EXTREMELY windy that day, which made it very cold outside. Although the car was not turned on, it still provided much needed protection from the bitter wind.

The guys had a great time going down "chain" style. Even Bekars got in on the action! From left...Lizzie, Gideon, Ammon, Joe, Bekah, and Derek

Bekah's poor little cloth gloves didn't provide enough protection...especially when they fell off. In this shot, she is making me kiss her owies on her hands

After going down the hill together, Bekah and I watch another group zoom by (notice our nice winter gear, Donnetta and Kerri?)

Ammon also loved it. He actually went sledding again the next day with one of his buddies just because he had so much fun!
Although these pictures show Bekah crying, she really did have a great time. She loved going down and would scream the whole way, lol. It wasn't until the end, when her gloves got wet and fell off, and her little hands started to burn, that she had had enough fun.
I am excited to go again. Unfortunately, while we still have maybe four inches of snow on the ground, it is hard and icy and yucky. It hasn't actually snowed here since Christmas or so. Hopefully we can get some fresh stuff soon!
