Sick, sick, sick!

Joe and I have been sooooooo sick! It is a strange phenomonem for both of us to get sick at the same time, especially when the kids are fine. We think that perhaps we had food poisoning (maybe from our date night dinner?). Saturday afternoon both of us began to feel very nauseated. We sort of just rested in bed for the rest of the day and hoped that we would feel better on Sunday. No such luck. We were up sick, sick, sick all night and the next day. We were so weak and vomiting and feverish. It was terrible. The worst part, though, was that Joe was supposed to speak in Sacrament Meeting that day! The poor bishopric. We both feel so guilty about needing to cancel on them, but otherwise Joe would have been running to the bathroom in the middle of his talk. It was also Lizzie's baptism preview and they had asked Hannah to talk at it. We had to cancel that as well. What a bad day for it to happen! By Sunday evening, we were starting to feel a bit better (i.e. the vomiting had stopped).

We're both still weak today and have sort of sour stomachs left over but we're good enough to be up and about. Joe went to work and everything (poor guy).

The kids were so great. Neither Joe nor I could really leave our beds for almost 24 hours. The big kids really helped take care of everything. They watched over the little ones and even fed them all their meals. We were grateful to have them to be able to help out. When we woke up so sick on Sunday morning and could barely move, it was one of those times when we really regreted not having family around. I was worried about us becoming dehydrated and needed some fluids to help us out but neither of us could do much. I just wanted to call my mom to come bring us some Sprite or Gatorade or help with the babies. We love you Mom!

Oh no! Glad you're feeling better, at least... whatever that bug is, is VERY effective, though. Totally understand the sickness... :-\

Hope things are back to "peachy" now! :-)
