Joe and I went on our first ever football road trip a few weeks ago. It was so awesome! I haven't actually even been to a home game in probably eight or nine years, so it was just fun to see the Broncos in person again. We left the kids overnight with our awesome niece LaDawnia, and drove up to Logan to see Boise State take on Utah State. The fam from Boise met us there and we all had a super fun time. It was great to see the family and even better that the Broncos won. :) I think that I have probably seen (or listened to) almost every Boise State football game, every single season, for the past TWENTY YEARS! That is craziness! Years ago, when we first moved to Boise (and I was 12 years old), my mom used to get free tickets to the games through the radio station where she worked. Boise State was still in the 1-AA back then (the good old Big Sky), but we loved it just as much. Every week, we bundled up and cheered on our team from the North End Zone (it was the NEZ, right Mom?) We learned the ins and outs of football, fell in love...and the rest is history!I'm excited for the game...not sure what Joe is thinking, haha
I liked this picture cause it has Coach Pete, Kellen Moore, and Avery (this is after the game was in hand and the second stringers were in)
Kerri and Spence...speaking of the old days of watching football in the NEZ, I have a very vivid memory of one VERY cold November game when a young Spence (maybe 11 or 12) insisted on wearing shorts to the game. My mom tried arguing with him, but he absolutely refused to change. He was crying and freezing his rear off the entire game, haha. I think he learned his lesson. :)
