Okay, I know that I never post anymore. I have pictures hanging around from Thanksgiving AND Christmas and shots of our new puppy (yes we got a puppy, haha, never announced that either!). I will get around to posting them soon...I hope...hehe. I did want to announce that I am a working woman now! Yes it is true. After 12 years of being at home with the kiddos, I am now at home with the kiddos and work :). I was hired as freelance commercial writer. While I am technically an independent contractor, I have contracted and will work only for this one research company . I work with the clients to determine what research and stuff they want and then I submit research requests. After the research is given to me, I analyze it to see which info is most important and determine the relationship between different aspects of the research, and then put it all together for the clients. Each project takes about a month to complete. I will probably do 2 or 3 projects per month. Full time is about 4 projects per month. I work completely out of my home. Today was my first day and I have already been assigned projects and just finished my first online meeting with a client. Eek! It is a very different world than I am used to!
I am excited and nervous and everything at the same time. It is tricky to figure out exactly how it will all work with Caleb and Bekah still at home, but I know we will be able to make it work. The hardest parts will definitely be during my meetings. You don't want screaming in the background, hehe. Fortunately, I won't typically have tons of meetings...maybe a couple of hours a week at the most. The money is really good and the work is something that I feel that I would enjoy. It is only a couple of years until Bekah is in school so it will be nice to have a career to work on.
Anyway, if you don't hear from me much, that is probably why. :)
