A Blog-o-sphere Break

I seem to have taken a small, unintended hiatus from blogging. I am coming up on the two year anniversary of blogdom and have never stopped for so long! I have just been super busy (or lazy...the two are so closely related that it is often hard to tell the difference, hehe). We are all still alive (and doing well). Here are the top ten (in no particular order) occurrences from the blogging black hole:

1. The Nortons moved in with us...temporarily. They sold their house and got caught in a tricky spot between homes. They will be with us for a month or so. When most people hear that we are all bunked up together, their mouths drop open in disbelief. It is all going amazingly well, though, and has been a ball for the kids and parents alike.

2. Caleb and Joe and I all had birthdays. We're all "one year older and wiser too." :)

3. Nana and Grandpa came for a visit over President's Day. It was so fun to see them. We are excited to see them again in a few weeks when we go to Boise to meet our new cousin/nephew, Baby Jakey!

4. Joe has been working like crazy, burning the candle at both ends at work and school. We are so proud of him and all the hard work he does for our family.

5. Hannah finished up her play "Little Red Riding Hood" at school and did an amazing job. Mom forgot to bring the camera to either of her performances, so you'll just have to imagine the sweet little squirrel that she was.

6. My voice has not been doing too great lately. :( I have been hoarse all the time and struggle to get half the notes out in primary each week. I think (now that we are insured once again) that I need to return to the ENT specialist.

7. We spent tons of money, time, and nervousness getting ready for Ammon's first winter campout...only to have him get a fever the morning of the big event! Guess that will have to be a first for next year.

8. We got a nice little present from Uncle Sam with our tax return (I know most of you might not care about that, haha, but it sure made ME very happy).

9. The eternal snow of winter finally melted around the second week of February. There had been snow on the ground since early November, so the kiddos were ecstatic to finally head outside. Yesterday Bekah was in the backyard for over five HOURS! We are so happy for spring!

10. We are all happy, healthy and well. We love all of you and hope you are doing awesome.

Bekah is the funniest dancer lately. She wiggles her little bum all over while the grownups all laugh and laugh
Lizzie is a rockin' dancer as well :)

We had a very happy Valentine's Day! The love was flowin' like crazy, haha.

Bekah wants to be outside no matter the time of day or the temperature. Here she is one early morning, going out in her pjs with a warm winter hat.
Ammon and Hannah are great babysitters, but one evening Joe and I came home to find they had put Bekah's diaper on backwards. Made us giggle.

With all those birthdays in a row, Joe wanted something different for his cake. Cheesecake to the rescue!

Joe opens presents with his beautiful Januaries.

The girls are our official "present wrappers." For Joe's birthday, they ran out of tape. Joe LOVED their creativity on finding ways to attach his paper. Such cute girls.
A week after Joe's birthday, Caleb's rolled around. We sure love this guy! Four years old...where did the time go?

Cabers was very excited about his new "bike."

Nana and Grandpa!

Not only does Bekars love her Papa, but she is also very fond of Grandpa

Ammon headed up the team creating a dinosaur. What a studly guy

Emma and Bekah enjoy digging in the sand

That big shark looks like it might soon be eating a tasty and adorable meal

Cute paleontologists

We had a springtime storm a week or so ago. While it was so pretty, we were happy to see the snow melt within a couple of days.

One day, the girls all put on a big play. It was a combination show...they included Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and, um, something else, haha.

Beautiful Princess Emma has been losing teeth like crazy lately. Aren't toothless smiles the best?

Lizzie, the woodsman, speaks with the Evil Queen

After watching for awhile, Bekah decided that being a participant looked MUCH more fun.

She was very concerned when that poisoned apple knocked Hannah out (notice the apple at the end of the couch).

Can't remember why there was screaming

Last Sunday, we decided that it wasn't fair for Joe to nap while the rest of us were awake.

The kids thought it was the funniest thing ever. I worried that Joe would suffocate or something, haha, but he said that he just thought we were giving him some blankets, lol.
