Breaking and Entering

Our friends, the Nortons, have finally sold their house! Hooray and huzzah and hip hip and so on. They are planning on moving out here near us. Last weekend, we found an interesting house. It is actually two houses and a ginormous, gigantic garage (3000 sq foot). Derek has been wanting to start up a business and was very interested in this property because of the potential the garage had. Since it is actually two houses, we went along to see if we were at all interested.

The agent was running late and told us to go ahead and take a look around until he got there. The garage code he gave us wasn't working, but the door was open so we went ahead and started checking the place out. The people who owned the house had left all their stuff there and it was a pretty big mess. We viewed the older, smaller house first. It was kinda gross and not really up our alley. We then went and started looking at the newer house. At this point, the agent showed up. He was sooo totally weird. He looked around, kind of confused, and asked where all the stuff had come from. He said he thought the house was empty.

The realtor said, "Well, go ahead and keep looking around." Haha. Um, we sort of went into the new house, but were totally FREAKED out that someone was living there and that he would be asleep or in the shower or something. The agent went into the garage to see if he could find out where all the stuff had come from.

At that moment, the owner of the house showed up. Not the seller, but the guy who had purchased the house the PRIOR WEEKEND!!! Hahahahahaha! He had these two dogs with him that started going crazy because we were in the house. They came barking into the house, running after us. We sort of ran out the garage, slamming the door on the maniac dogs barking at our heels.

The agent said, "Hmmm...no one told me that the house had sold." MAN! Don't you think you should check up on that before you send some poor, innocent people through?? I mean, what if we had happened upon the guy in his bedroom or something?! I canNOT believe that we went and browsed through someone's house! We are just so glad that the owner wasn't home at the time and that the agent showed up before the owner did. I'm not sure what the poor guy would have done...probably come after us with his shotgun and all at the intruders in his home!!!

Anyway, we checked that home off the list!
