In Lizzie's second grade class at school, they have a reward system that involves "caught-ya" cards. The kids earn these cards for all sorts of different things-good behavior, good grades, being kind to others, etc. They are given in dollar amounts. They may earn a $1 caught-ya card, or a $10 card or so on. As their math has progressed, the possible denominations have increased. Every couple of months, they then have a store where they can then buy a few rewards with their money.
Lizzie tends to excel at receiving caught-ya cards. Last week, she came home and started emptying out her bag to show us what she got at the store. Rachel and I just kind of goggled and it kept coming and coming and coming! It turns out that she had over $900,000...the most in the 2nd grade. What a crazy kid. We're glad that she is so good at being good. :)
