Dancing and birthdays

It has been awhile since I've updated the old blog, but that doesn't mean that life is getting slower around here. We have actually been sick. :( All eight of us ended up getting that stomach bug (ugh) and before the final Boyer member was finished vomiting, we had a NEW sickness among us. We have had fever/congestion/cough going around as well. Emma, Caleb, and Bekah have all had an icky cold. We'll see how the rest of us fare.

In the midst of all the sickness, we have also had a couple of birthdays! Emma turned six and Hannah Bay hit the double digits (10 years old!). On Emmer's birthday, Hannah had a ballroom dance competition. I took Lizzie and Emma to watch Hanny and then we all went out to eat at the Golden Corral. Later, the entire family celebrated with Emma. We all enjoyed cake and presents. Sweet Emma Sue is such a joy to our family.

One week later, Hannah had her birthday. Hannah invited her BFFTFAS (yes, the title is growing all the time!...BestFriendForeverTogetherFarAwaySister) and Lizzie Lou out to eat and to the movies. We saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Squeakquel." I sort of got that first shock of being with "tween girls." The giggling and such wherever we went. It was weird and fun all at the same time.

The birthday girl, with her pom pom. Our school won the "Spirit award"

Cute Hannah Bay waits for her turn to dance in front of the judges

Dancing the...uh...cha cha, I think

Great job to Hannah and her partner! They won a bronze medal for their efforts.

The whole team. Hannah is on the left, second row
Emma Sue got presents (in Christmas wrapping paper, haha)!

The next week, after eating at Denny's, Hannah, Hailey, Lizzie, and I hit the theater for a show

Hailey and Hannah were very nice about including Lizzie

After the movie we went to Maggie Moo's for some yummy ice cream
We sure love our Januarys!!! Emma idolizes Hannah, and for the most part Hannah is very kind and sweet in response. Our house would certainly be MUCH quieter without these two. Love you girls! :)
