Dinosaur Discovery!

With swimming lessons over, we were finally able to hit the streets for another Friday adventure. Today we went to visit the Dinosaur Museum (as the kids call it anyway). We have been there on quite a few different occasions, but the kids just love it. It is very hands-on and I appreciate that we can spend hours there enjoying ourselves. It helps to make the expensive admission charge a little easier to swallow! Here are some pictures from the day...
Bekah (8 months) is released from her "prison" long enough for a picture with her big brothers and sisters
My budding paleontologists
Boy, I sure love these kids! Caleb kept insisting..."itchure, itchure" so here we are
Here is the dinosaur that my kids created. Pretty fierce!
Emma (4) surprised me by being the most gung-ho of all the kids to play in the sand and water. She loved making a dinosaur habitat!
Caleb (2) finally gets up enough courage to play with Emma...but not enough courage to be seen in that smock!
We've compared ourselves to elephants at the zoo and now dinosaurs at the museum! The kids weigh 195 pounds all together
My baby and I (yes that is me...I've been sort of trying out this no-bangs thing...we'll see if it lasts). Ammon thought he bore some resemblance to Lord Voldemort in this picture. What do you think?
They have this section of movie set stuff at the beginning...not sure how this ties in to dinosaurs, but hey, it's not my museum! Lizzie (6) and Hannah (8) try out their acting skills in front of the cemetary
Caleb (2) was incredibly interested in everything...even boring fossils. He kept exclaiming, "Di-a-sor" over and over again
What a bunch of cuties!
Lizzie (6) points out a prehistoric fish to Hannah (8)
We had a great day! You're all invited next time!

Hehe, looks like your kids had tons of fun! I love that area with the sand and water. And that museum is so great. They really had kids in mind when they designed all the activities. And Derek has taken the older kids to some of the 3-D movies they have over there. We'll have to go there again sometime.
