The 2008 Summer Games

Our children have been in intense training for this summer's Olympics. Yes, that's right, keep your eye out in China for the kids in the 200m freestyle, the butterfly, and the backstroke. Oh yeah, and Emma will be fighting for her life in the high dive (literally fighting since she can't swim...heehee). Here they are, training at a local pool with their dedicated coaches.
Ammon (10) tests how long he can stay under the water

Ammon (10) loves swimming!
Lizzie (6) poses for Dad's camera

Lizzie (6) is in a class with Hannah (8)

Hannah (8) can float...sort ofOkay, okay. Maybe they aren't ready for the Olympics yet. We'll wait for 2012. So, swimming lessons in April, you may ask? My sister Emily swears that swimming lessons should be reserved for the summer months. We, however, got that horrible crypto-whatever bug last year from swimming. We don't want to do that again. I am hoping to avoid it by hitting the pool early and then avoiding public pools during the summer.
