A Visit to the Dentist

Last week, I took Hannah, Emma, and Lizzie to the dentist. Hannah had to have a tooth pulled and a root canal!! Gulp. Emma and Lizzie just had cleanings and check-ups. I was so worried about Hannah. If you know her, she is extremely panicked for every medical type procedure. We decided to have her put to sleep in order to ease the situation. I was still worried about the IV, however, since she completely freaks out for any shot. I simply didn't exactly tell her that there would be a shot. I told her that they would need to squeeze her arm in order to get the tube in. When the time came, I sort of kept her face away and, fortunately, they got it in on the first shot. Hannah was so surprised and started to cry. She cried for about ten seconds and then her eyes rolled back and she was asleep. They told me to expect her to be out for the rest of the day, but she wasn't! She didn't sleep even one wink when I took her home. Strange, isn't it? She was a little goofy and weird for about an hour, but totally normal after that. I was put to sleep and I slept the whole day through. Anyway, she did great and was very happy. She kept thanking me for taking her. :)

Now we just have to get Ammon in. He has an extra tooth and really needs braces...sigh. Where is that rich anonymous donor when we need him, hehe?

Emma and Lizzie in the waiting room. I find it to be funny that they painted the walls like Candy Land. This is a dentist!!
Emma's smile got a little brighter! She was pretty nervous and squeezed my hand a lot, but did great (and she wants me to report that she has 20 teeth, hehe)!
Lizzie was totally fine with it all, as always

The girls got these new shirts from the dentist's office. They put them on the second they were done (at the dentist's office)

Oh my word, poor Hannah! Hope she's back in operation soon! Those dentist chairs look pretty comfy, though... glad the other two's visits went well! :-)

Oh, BTW - that's an adorably fun Valentine's photo! :-)

Thanks. :) That photo was taken by your own relatives, hehe, during a fun trip to Temple Square. You can tell them you like it (I think it was probably Rachel, not Derek, that took the picture, but I can't remember).
