Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving was a fun event this past year. We were able to spend lots of quality time with family and enjoy too much delicious food. As the years go by and the kids get older, I find that I enjoy events like these more and more (not that I didn't love them to begin with!). It is such a joy to spend time with my older kids. They are such good people and I love them like crazy!

Hannah is pumping Lizzie up (I guess) for our service at Thanksgiving feast put on by the Boise Rescue Mission. Grandpa, Emily, Randon, Ammon, Hannah, Lizzie, Karl, Brielle, Emma and I all enjoyed our time there. What a blessing it is to be able to give back a little when we have so much!

Grandpa and Randon discuss their potential assignments

My partner for a day! I love Karl Richards. We were the best traffic directors ever!

Although I have to admit that these were two pretty cute traffic directors themselves (and they beat us in our race to get the most cars!)

Ammon, Grandpa, Randon, Emma and Brielle all helped load boxes of food into cars

Here he is in action!

Now that girl just brightens up a chilly day!

HAHAHA - Goofy dad wouldn't take a picture like a normal human being!

Love these two! Such good, good men.

Thanksgiving morning dawned bright and clear. We set up a family game of soccer out at the ranch.

It was action packed!

Some good exercise before gorging ourselves on food was a good idea. Thanks, Em!

Em and Randon were really outmatched with these five little guys ;)

Ammon is such a good cousin. He helped Jakey out during the game.

The girls made name tags for our seats

Jake, Nana and Ellie chatted it up. Ellie seems to be shocked at whatever came out of her dad's mouth!

The set up in Em's farmhouse - and the one shot of poor, sick Addie in the backdrop

Emma and Brielle enjoyed chatting on the front porch

One of five different eating spots - there were a lot of us!

A shot of part of the group

Ellie seems a little unsure about her food

Now this was the PAR-TAY table!

Black Friday was a nice calm affair - even if no one would look up for a photo!

Until Katie decided to give me a cheesy grin. Love that girl! :)
